Tuesday of last week was the first day of my big fishing trip. I caught the first striper of the day and it weighed 16 pounds which seemed giant to me, I was excited. The guy I was fishing with caught the second fish and guess what.......it was HUGE! His weighed 38 pounds, made mine look like the baby fish. Anyway, in 3 days of fishing I caught 7 fish and had lots of fun. I would do it again and again. Ronnie showed up from Shreveport on the third day and fished with us. The second pic of me is trying to hold Wes Allison's big fish and I couldn't hardly get it out of the ice chest. The bottom picture is of Randy Nelson the fishing guide from Woodward and

RattleSnake Derby

We went to the RattleSnake Derby in Mangum yesterday! Lots of fun! Cages filles with rattlesnakes, carnival rides, and lots of booths selling junk. The kids loved it!

Here are a couple of pics that I wanted to post on here!!! When I left for Daytona we left from the Wichita airport... Well just so happens my Dad was working in Wichita that week so he came by to visit me before I left!! So that is where the picture of me and my Dad was taken!! The other picture was taking on the beach the day after we competed!!

I'm a movie star now!

On Wed. April 9, 2008 my friend Valorie and I, two country bumpkins take off to LA. Not knowing American Airlines had canceled a bunch of flights we strut into the airport and the lady says.....don't you watch the news?? Well, we hadn't that night. Anyway our flights were ok so we made it to LA like big shots but guess what?? Our luggage didn't arrive with us! We reported it missing and went on to our hotel in North Hollywood. I was more worried about the eskimo joes t-shirt & cap that we were taking to Ellen more than my own clothes. Our luggage was delivered sometime in the night so everything was back to normal on Thur. Thur. morning we took a bus tour of the stars homes. We saw the homes of Madonna, Sylvester Stallone, Demi Moore, Tom Cruis, Hugh Hefner, Jay Leno, the house Elvis owned there, Demi Moore's dogs, where Lucille Ball lived when she died, where Shirley Temple lived but somebody gave 6 million dollars for her house and had it torn down and they built a new one, I'm sure there were more and I can't remember them all. That was fun to see all the roofs of their houses and the closed gates to their driveways. They all seemed to have high fences with vines, trees, shrubs so high you couldn't see the actual houses. We went and saw the walk of fame, the Chinese Theater, got our picture taken with Marlyn Monroe too! On this tour we went to a place called Farmers Market which was shopping and bunches of eating places. Ok, now the tour is over and we get ready for THE ELLEN SHOW. We get there at 3 and stand outside in a holding area for probably 1 1/2 hours and then a girl comes and checks us in and gives us a number which ours was 26 & 27 out of about 287. We go through security just like the airport and sign in our gift to her. Now we sit for another 45 min. and then they take us in by what number we have. Once inside the door they sit you where they want to sit you. We end up with seats 1 & 2 next to the first isle that Ellen dances up and then she dances down the isle right behind us. Soooo, yes we were on TV and seen dancing. We were pretty good fakers because neither me or my friend can dance. lol The guest on the show was David Spade and the Dancing with the stars Olympic skater Christy & her dance guy. The guests were great. We enjoyed the Ellen Show so much that we will go back again some day. You can only go once a year because of high demand so we'll try again next year. All her staff was very nice and very funny. On Friday we went to Universal Studio's and it was lots of fun. We saw Wisteria Lane where Desperate Housewives if filmed, the houses were so cute. We went on a water ride through Jurassic Park and it was really fun and then we about died at the end when we went off a drop-off of about 80 feet. Our picture they took looked like 2 old ladies, our hair blown straight back and our mouths wide open. No, we didn't buy that picture. Our whole trip was lots of fun and we'll do it again. I don't proof read so this may sound like a dumb trip but it wasn't.

Ahoy Mate!

LA one week, Arkansas this week. I'm riding to Arkansas with a friend to meet Ronnie on Wed. and we will all go striper fishing!! Whoohoo!!!! Never been on a guided fishing trip before but here I go. I'm really hoping I catch the biggest fish, or maybe I better hope I even catch a fish. This might be fun and then again it might not be. I will certainly let everyone know if I recommend this trip or not. I have dumped all my chores & my good job on my kids....they hate me already. I'm sure Kristin hates me the most because she is doing my chef job this week. This is all for now.

Great Western Opry...How bout it Bridget?

A friend and I went down to Vici to the Great Western Opry that mom and dad go to every stinkin month and I'm thinking they need Bridget & RC down there to show them what real singers sound like. I kind of wished I hadn't ask Nina to go because it wasn't near as good as the first time I went 3 years ago. Mom and Dad enjoy it though. But............Bridget if you read this I hope it makes you feel good because I would rather sit through 2 hours of you and RC than these guys... We really could probably get you on it, how bout it?

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

Hey!! Sorry I haven't written on here!! I have been super busy!! I was in Daytona Wednesday thru Sunday evening for college cheer nationals!! We got 3rd!! Then I leave a week from today to go to Orlando for Worlds with my all-star team I'm on from Edmond!! My parents are going to be as well to watch!!! I'll try to be more of an active blogger on here!!!

REVISED: Donna on TV

Mom (Donna) called last night and said that their show will air on MONDAY instead of today. She said they are about three rows from the front on the aisle. Also, she said Ellen came up the steps and danced down the row behind them so maybe we'll get a good look at mom getting her groove on!!!

Be sure and watch 'The Ellen Show,' tomorrow (friday, april 11). My mom and her friend Valorie will be somewhere in the audience, I'm sure they will be dancing up a storm!!

Yes, she earned MANEATER!!

Here are some pageant pic's, the green outfit is her 'school wear,' then swimwear, talent and pageant wear.
In her division, she won talent, swimwear, portfolio, personality, smile and was the overall winner which named her "Oklahoma Sunburst Pee-Wee Queen" She called her uncle Lyndon right after talent to let him know that she did really good. She asked him several times "you're going to get me maneater right?"

Addie

We leave for Tulsa in the morning for Addie's state pageant. I'm trying to figure out why in the heck I went ahead with this......it's starting to stress me out and I think my mom is ready to kill me for not having every thing ready before the day we leave!!
For those of you who don't know, Addies' talent is 'The Presidents Song!' Starts with Washington and goes all the way through current.
Lyndon has been concerned that Addie isn't going to actually sing her song during the pageant..........so, he has promised to get her the movie "Maneater" if she does good. I guarantee she will do it just to get that movie! One time at wal-mart, Addie was looking at movies, she saw "maneater" which has a picture of a lion with blood on its mouth with a little kids tennis shoe laying beside it on the cover....every since, she has wanted that movie. And yes, it is a grown up scary movie!!! Maybe Uncle Lyndon will come over and watch it with her! Addie says it is ok if it is scary because her brother has a dream catcher......I know, she is a weird little girl!!!
Will let you know if she 'earns' maneater or not!!

I don't think mom and dad (Al and Jane) would approve of turning their blog into a political space. It started out so sweet - me quoting Pat Boone, Donna trying to convince us that she and Valerie aren't lesbians..., Kristin's adorable Al and Jane stories... Then Troy had to spice it up.

Brittany - let us know what you're up to these days! Are you living in Dallas? I don't make it to the Montrose/River Oaks area. I'm trying to keep myself from finding out that I'm actually back in Houston. I rarely make it out of the Kingwood/Humble/Porter areas.

Bridget - how about some pics and cute stories of your kiddies!

We can continue the political discussions under Troy's posting so that it is there but takes up limited emphasis. I think this survey thingy isn't very good, as it's letting Troy vote over and over again for that old guy. So I think I'll go ahead and remove it.

WILLIAMS FOR MCCAIN!!!!

not surprisingly after viewing the "vote for president" thing on the side of the blog i noticed that a few of our family members were confused about the choices. i feel compelled to point out some things that every American, and certainly every Williams derived American should remember when expressing their political views and making their ultimate choice for president.
one of the primary beliefs of the democrat party is to collect taxes and redistribute the wealth among those less fortunate. what this means to us, the workinig people and business owners of the country, is more taxes.. the harder we work and ultimately the more successful we are, the more we are taxed, so that it can be distributed amongst a terrible array of govt social welfare programs. now, it is important to note that some of these programs are needed, good, and productive. through my 6 + years at the sheriff's office i dealt with mostly people who are recipients of these programs. most of these folks could work but chose not to. simply because it honestly paid better for them to stay at home, have extra kids that they did not care for, and collect extra money for cigarettes, beer, etc, etc. as a tax paying American i have a huge problem with this.
another real problem is wasteful spending by govt. this is common between both republicans and democrats, but historically, republicans lessen taxes on taxpayers, which stimulates the economy, creates jobs, allows the people to keep more of their own money. democrats raise taxes. if you will remember thru your history lessons, our country freed itself from unfair taxation.
hillary is most likely done. she has finally proven herself a liar, saying or writing whatever it takes to reach her goals. that leaves us with obama. although i realize he has much appeal with all because he is young, smooth, energetic and preaches a message of hope and change. the fact of the matter is all presidential candidates preach this message. this election should not be a popularity contest, sadly enough it is though. he does not have the experience or the "clean" background" needed to run the country. there is questions of his patriotism which are very valid. it is too easily forgotten that on sept 11, 2001, America was attacked which since put us in a vigilent state of war on terror. i don't think anybody can argue that we should not have gone to iraq, but we did. fact of the matter is, America was attacked and we were looking for somebody's ass to kick.. and we did... we have got to redirect our efforts to the original mission in afghanistan. should we not have a president who understands war and sacrifice???? john mccain is certainly not the most likable candidate we could have, but he will do the best job, keep our tax cuts in place, retain our gun rights, finish the fiasco in iraq appropriately.
what we all must do is choose the lesser of the evils....for the non-muslim american, the non-illegal alien, the business owner, the farmer, and the employed, the choice is clear, john mccain. i have faith in u all. we are all educated, intelligent people but in this election we must do what is right for the country.
i must now brace myself for vicki's scathing review!!!!!!
