blizzard baby: Sno Lucky

This baby calf was born just as the snow storm blew in. I finally got to see her yesterday at 2 days old. Mom and baby are doing just fine. I think we decided to name her Sno Lucky.

HAPPY 58 TH ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!!!!

We never found Dad's wedding band after even running it in the paper for a week and searching their house over and over and going to places he had been that day. Mom (Lyndon and I) gave him a new one today for their anniversary. He had to keep his head down to keep from crying. I so wish we could of given him his old one back, he would of loved it more. I'm hoping now that he has a new one that the old one will show up......sometimes that happens!! We haven't given up.

Dad's gold wedding band

Dad lost his wedding band Monday Feb. 2nd and is really sick about it. I have put an ad in the paper, it comes out tomorrow so wish us luck. Kristin and I are going to places he went on Monday and look around and ask around. I guess it's the same ring he's had for 57 years. It makes me sad that he is so sad about it. I sure hope it turns up. Cross your fingers....

Upcoming Anniversary...

Mom & Dad's 57 or 58th Wedding Anniversary is coming up Feb 10th, so get those cards in the mail.... We'll have to remember to plan something big for their 60th.

Well, they don't show the cuteness of the Pollyanna, but Mom is shown talking. It's about 5 minutes in when it starts showing Woodward. The narrator is speaking German, so you have to listen carefully to hear the people speaking English.

Mom (and Pollyanna) on TV in Switzerland

So Arthur Honegger is a tv correspondent for a Swiss tv show, like 60 Minutes. He spent time in the Pollyanna interviewing people, one of which was, of course, Mom. This show is supposed to be available after Jan. 20th on http://www.sf.tv/. If I can find it then, I'll post a direct link. The tough part is that this website is mostly in German/French. Other than people in Woodward, he is also interviewing folks from Freedom and Harlem (????). Here is a picture of Arthur from that site.

He asked Mom if she thought that Obama would be able to save the economy, and she said yes. That her daughter in Houston did a lot of research on Obama and thinks he's a very smart man.

In case anyone was wondering what the Williams clan was doing tonight....

So since we got Mom & Dad the big screen tv for Christmas, I decided they needed HDTV, to take full advantage of the screen size. Their cable provider isn't offering HD, so I hooked them up with Dish, which is what I have.

What was I thinking??? Today, Dad was home watching tv, and something went wrong. All that was on the screen was a message "weak or lost signal" or something like that. So Donna called me and asked me to call Lyndon who was over at their house trying to fix it. While I'm talking to Mom, Lyndon talks to Lance who calls Temple, who gives ideas. I'm googling, we can't figure it out. You would have thought someone's pacemaker quit, the way we were all scrambling around.

Anyway, Donna also called Kristin, who stopped by and within 20 minutes, figured it out. (She had to push the "source" button on the side of the tv and select "component 1" - in case it ever happens again and Kristin isn't available.)

Whew!
